Josh Rifkin holds numerous records at his alma mater, Division III Ithaca College. Highlights include Josh securing the most wins in his college’s history, earning a national ranking in singles and doubles, and securing his college’s first ever All-American honors in doubles. After his college career, Josh continued his tennis growth by moving to Austin to train as a touring pro under the guidance of ATA.
Following his experience playing professional tennis, Josh took a coaching job back home in Fort Wayne, Indiana. For the past three years he has been coaching all levels with an emphasis on competitive and high-performance junior tennis players.
While coaching, Josh realized he wanted to give more to his students. This led him to begin a career in the health and fitness world while expanding his knowledge with the renowned C.H.E.K. (Corrective Holistic Exercise and Kinesiology) Institute. In May of 2014, Josh founded his own private health and fitness practice primarily focusing on training junior competitive tennis players.
Everything has come full circle when Josh joined the Austin Tennis Academy Team in February 2016. He works full time with our Academy, Junior Academy and Junior Development programs in addition to helping implement the academy fitness program. Josh also gives private tennis lessons and private fitness training sessions.
