ATA's Champ Athletes Perform in Plano Major Zone

Seventeen of ATA’s championship qualified athletes competed in the Plano Fall Championship Major Zone this past weekend. Coach Notis, Coach Shoenmakers and Coach Collins accompanied the team on the trip.

Conor O’Meara ended the weekend with an undefeated record in the boys’ 14s white draw. An achievement that usually correlates with a championship, for Conor was the result of a rainout late in the third set of the finals. His match, against Rayce Robertson, ended at 6-4, 3-6, 5-5. Conor was working towards his fifth straight victory.

Colton Malesovas fought to earn four wins and a spot in the finals of the boys’ 18s white draw. He knocked out the top seeded Parker Sheridan in the quarterfinal 6-2, 6-1, and then eliminated Michael Frajkor in the semifinals 6-4, 7-5.
