Calling All 10 and Under Players!
Austin Tennis Academy is proud to announce the first annual QuickStart Tennis Tournament for all beginning junior players ages 10 and under.
The tournament is on Saturday, October 24th from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the ATA campus.
The QuickStart program is designed to introduce young athletes to the game of tennis by adjusting the equipment and the court to accommodate the young age and size.
The athletes will play in several abbreviated matches against opponents of similar ability. The prize will be a pizza party for all involved at the end, rather than individual trophies.
Players must register by 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 22nd. Parents can register their kids by calling the ATA pro shop at 512-276-2271, or emailing Coach Brian Notis at brian.notis@austintennisacademy.com. Please include your age and level of experience (how long you have played, first tournament?, CATA’s?, ZAT’s?, etc). Entry is $10 per player, and should be paid the day of the event.
As this is a tournament designed for beginners, volunteers will play a big role in ensuring that the matches run smoothly and each child has fun. Ideally we would like one volunteer on each court to help keep matches going fairly and keep score. If you would like to volunteer please contact Coach Notis.
