Predicted Drought, Good News for Summer Tennis in Austin
Summer training is one of the most important parts of competitive tennis development. The ‘Moving Months’ afford juniors increased time for practice and tournament play. This summer, Texas weather may cooperate to help facilitate those ‘Moving Months’.
According to Bob Rose, Chief meteorologist with the Lower Colorado River Authority, “the current drought more than likely will worsen as we go into spring and certainly into summer.” Rose continued, ”Early models indicate that the summer will be so dry that the current moderate drought will slip into more serious categories,” Rose said.
