St. Stephen's Tournament, Young Takes Two, 13 in the draws
Eleven Austin Tennis Academy players took advantage of beautiful winter weather, competing in the January 5th-6th St. Stephen’s School junior tournament. The event was divided into Upper divisions for ages 16-18s, Lower divisions for 12-14s and a boys 10s draw. ATA Coach John Schoenmakers watched and coached on-site at the St. Stephen’s School.

In the boys Upper division, Will Douglass advanced to the semi-finals, falling to Elliot Deese. Christian Yonge fell to champion Eli Harpst in the second round. Neel Kumar advanced to the semi-final, beating ATA teammate Jaxon Immler 6-4, 6-1 before meeting Harpst.

Open tournaments like this St. Stephen’s tournament serve as great opportunities for ATA juniors to gain competition experience. March 21st-23rd, the SPENCO ATA Spring Open is another such opportunity. Congratulations to all ATA juniors who competed in the St. Stephen’s tournament.
