International "Little Mo", ATA Hosts and Competes Against WorldWide Competition

From Croatia and Russia to Great Britain and the Caribean Islands, the International “Little Mo” Tournament draws competitors from all over any map. With ATA as host of this prestigious event, several of ATA’s own used the opportunity to play against the best from all over the globe, and with success.

In the boys 9 and under division, Zach Knezevich, Sanjit Kumar, and Payton Holden all played the qualifying draw. Payton won two matches and played closely in several others. In boys 10 and under, Jake Berber won 5 qualifying matches, including a closely contested 7-5 score over Daniel David. In girls 10 and under, Meghan O’Malley fought hard in each of her qualifying matches. In the same division, Ali Burak won 3 qualifying matches, including a come-back 3 set win over Sarah Yeguez 2-6, 6-3, 10-1. With her wins Ali qualified for weekend main-draw action. In girls 11 and under, Maggie O’Meara played the main-draw, beating Karadzhe and Martinelli, each in straight sets to earn the consolation title. In boys 11 and under, Dylan Ritter won 4 matches to qualify, beating Daniel Levine in the main-draw consolation 6-3, 6-0. In the same division, Zane Ritter won 2 qualifying matches.

The Austin Tennis Academy is proud to serve as host for Regional, National and International “Little Mo Tennis” events. It is a privilege and a unique opportunity for our players to compete against some of the best young players in the world. Congratulations to all “Little Mo” International Tournament participants.
