April Waco ZAT and San Antonio Champ Major Zone Results
Austin Tennis Academy players recently traveled to the Waco ZAT and San Antonio Champ Major Zone, here are some of the results:
At the ZAT in Waco
Ben Williamson was a B12 Finalist
Caleb Bohan was a B12 Semifinalist
Emma Baird was a G14 Finalist
Allie Carlisle was a G12 Semifinalist and qualified to Champs
Allyson Goertz was a G14 Consolation winner
Victoria Noetzel was a consolation G16 Semifinalist
At the Champ MZ in San Antonio
Jonathon Stockdale was B16 Finalist and qualified to Superchamps
Hailey Posas was a G14 Finalist
Cameron Dabaghi was a B18 Consolation Winner
Este Kaufmann was a B14 Consolation Winner
Greyson Brilliant was a B12 Consolation Semifinalist
Coach Jason's perspective from Waco ZAT tournament:
It was a fun and exciting time at the Waco ZAT. Congrats to all the players who competed. I spoke with many parents of non-ATA players and all had wonderful things to say the effort level and sportsmanship of our competitors. Players pat yourselves on the back for representing all of ATA well. A special congrats to Allie Carlisle for moving into the Champs division.Coach Jonas' perspective from the San Antonio Champ tournament:
Hailey Posas played the best tennis of her life and made it all the way to the finals of the main draw. Zoe Kearl got to the main draw quarter finals before losing to Hailey in a good match. Kate Cahill played well and made it to the main draw quarter finals in her first tournament back after her back injury. Matthew Sparks did a great job and reached the quarter finals after battling hard and putting up a good fight. Este Kaufmann & Cameron Dabaghi both had a slow start in the tournament but came back very strong and blew everyone off the court to win the consolation in their draws.
