ATA Named 2005 USTA Texas Section Organization of the Year
The USTA's Organization of the Year Award was instituted in 1981 to recognize outstanding service by its member organizations to its members and to the game of tennis. The USTA Texas Section recipient automatically becomes a candidate for the USTA Award. We are in prestigious company of past winners, such as the 2004 recipient, Westside Tennis Club of Houston. We are particularly proud since we have been able to make such a contribution to tennis in a relatively short amount of time. We look forward to an even greater contribution to the game of tennis in the future!
Our narrative report, which we submitted, received rave reviews. We described the Austin Tennis Academy’s tennis activities being provided for our members and the local tennis community, between October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005.
The report highlighted ATA’s involvement with:
- Service to the Tennis Community
- Service to our members
- Brief History and highlights of our organization
- Photos, pamphlets, etc.
Special thanks go to Deb Cahill our Director of Operations who put our application for this award together.
