Wikso Family Helps Glimmer Through Jordyns Closet
The Austin Tennis Academy prides itself on providing student-athletes with a strong tennis foundation. One of its main goals, however, does not involve racquet position or footwork. For four years now, the ATA family has applied the hard work and dedication learned through tennis, to raise money for A Glimmer of Hope Foundation.
So far, ATA has raised over $350,000 that has provided things like two schools and 28 water wells to the people of rural Ethiopia who otherwise would not have access to clean water.
The partnership has motivated many in the ATA community to extend their own efforts in support of Glimmer in whatever ways they can. Now, the Wikso family is stepping up to do the same.

Debbie Wikso, mother of Academy player Jesse, owns a women's boutique called Jordyn's Closet and has graciously offered to support the efforts to raise money to benefit A Glimmer of Hope, through her business.
They carry all kinds of women's and juniors clothing, shoes, accessories, gifts, spirit wear (they do some custom heat press things on shirts and shorts as well), prom dresses, prom shoes (it's prom season now!) and lots of other unique items.
They have provided the ATA community with a discount code that anyone from ATA, their families, friends, colleagues, etc., from anywhere in the country can use for any purchases made from their boutique, either online or in person. They will then match the discount amount in the form of a donation to Glimmer of Hope on behalf of ATA.
The code is: GlimmerATA
Simply enter that code at checkout on the website or mention it in the store if you're shopping in person. Using that code will give you a 10% discount on your entire purchase and Jordyn's Closet will match your discount in the form of a donation to Glimmer of Hope!
So for example, use the code to get 10% off your entire purchase of $200, saving $20. Jordyn's Closet would then match that $20 as a contribution to Glimmer of Hope. This is a great way for you or anyone you know, from anywhere in the country, to pick up some nice things and make a charitable contribution to a worthy cause, all at one time.
Additionally, orders up to $50 are eligible for $7 flat rate ground shipping. Orders between $50 and $100 are eligible for $5 flat rate ground shipping and orders over $100 are eligible for free flat rate ground shipping!
The Wikso’s, Ron, Debbie, Sean, Jordyn and Jesse, are quickly becoming regular fixtures around the ATA campus. Jesse brings an unmatched passion for the game of tennis, and his father, Ron, is commonly right there with him watching Jesse have fun.

Jordyn, Jesse’s sister, was instrumental in putting the store together with Mrs. Wikso, on top of the store being named after her. She's currently attending Texas Tech and was also a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader 2 years ago. She's planning on trying out for the team again in May.
Mrs. Wikso, on top of running the store, is a Case Manager (RN) at Dell Children's Medical Center and formerly worked as a patient care RN on the Hematology/Oncology unit at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, taking care of kids with cancer and blood disorders.

Ron is a musician, having played with Foreigner, Cher, David Lee Roth, Richie Sambora and many others.
So, say hello to the Wikso’s next time you see them around the ATA campus, and check out Jordyn’s Closet for an opportunity to benefit Glimmer, and as a result, those who are in dire need in rural Ethiopia.
