Upcoming Events At ATA
Two must-see events take place this coming week at ATA: The College Signing Ceremony on Tuesday the 15th, and the David Benzel parent presentation on Wednesday the 16th.
On Tuesday evening at 6pm in the Fitness Center, ATA Seniors Brooke Hughes and Hunter Goertz will validate their college choice when they sign national letters of intent at the ATA College Signing Ceremony.
Brooke Hughes will sign with the University of Oregon, and Hunter Goertz will sign with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
“Each year ATA players sign national letters of intent to attend colleges and universities across the country,” Coach Jack Newman said. “This is the culmination of their junior tennis careers.”
The following day from 6-8pm, Sport Family Coach David Benzel will speak to the coaches, players and parents of the Austin Tennis Academy in a workshop called “To Push Or Not To Push”.
“David Benzel is a well known sports and business psychologist,” Coach Newman said. “As a consultant to the USTA, he has been working with players, coaches and parents across the country. We are excited to have him visit ATA.”
The entire ATA community is invited to come out to these exciting events. We hope to see you this coming week!
