Productive Day Despite Rain at Winter Camp
Day one of ATA Winter Tennis Camp came with overcast skies and constant rain. While the rain required an adjustment in the plan, it didn't slow down a productive and fun day for all in attendance.
The coaching staff, led by Coach John Schoenmakers, wasted no time implementing their go-to rainy-day plan. After a group warm up, the kids were split into groups and rotated through various stations.
Coach Kendall Brooks led a ladder skills station, focusing on footwork and agility.
Coach Tommy Collins led a goal-setting stage in Coach Newman's office.
Coach Anthony and Coach Mikaela led a cup-stacking stage, working on small motor skills, focus and teamwork.

Coach Emil and Coach Ty led a strength and conditioning stage.
At afternoon practice, Coach Strecker put the group through an intense curcuit workout, with a timed rotation through 30 different fitness and strength stations.
The rain looks to have cleared for the remained of Winter Camp, so we look forward to a great rest of Week 1 and Week 2 at ATA! You can still register for a full week or single day online or in the pro shop! See more pictures from day 1 on the ATA Facebook page.
