LTYA Tennis at Austin Tennis Academy

Every year since 2007, Austin Tennis Academy has partnered with the Lake Travis Youth Association to run its tennis program, introducing Austin-area kids to the sport.

"ATA is proud to have been chosen as the LTYA tennis provider to help bring tennis to the kids of the Lake Travis area," said COO Deb Cahill.

The LTYA currently introduces over 4,500 Lake Travis-area youth to 9 sports programs annually.

"The Lake Travis Youth Association (LTYA) is a privately funded, not-for-profit organization founded in 1978 to provide safe, fun, friendly and affordable recreational opportunities for the youth of Lake Travis," (LTYA.org).

The ATA coaches, with the help of some older Academy players, spreads out over 8 courts to coach 48 kids on the basics of tennis all with an emphasis on fun. They utilize the QuickStart equipment, which consists of shorter and lighter racquets, smaller nets and low-compression tennis balls.
