Ashley Weinhold's Last Tournament In Spain

Hi,

I woke up to more rain this morning and it continued all day with a few little breaks. The courts were flooded when we got to the club, but they somehow got them cleaned up and were able to play about 4 singles matches in the rain. No one was able to practice on the clay today because the only courts that were playable had matches on them. So I hit with my roommate on a wet hard court for about 25mins until we couldn't hit the soaking wet tennis balls anymore. The rest of my day involved waiting around for the transportation, it was 45mins late this morning and I don't know how late this afternoon. They don't seem to be on top of a lot of things here, so I'm just kind of adjusting to everything, being patient, and going with the flow. I also watched a few episodes of The Office and laughed hysterically. I got a light gym workout in this morning and evening also, just to get a sweat in and feel like I did something today. The gym or fitness center at our Hotel has very limited choices and there hasn't been one at the last two clubs I've played at either so that has been kind of hard and forces you to be creative.

The schedule just came out for tomorrow and I am the 2nd open court in the 2nd rotation of matches which start at 9am. The format of the schedule is a little different this week, so basically I'll probably be playing around 10:30 weather permitting. It turns out that I play my doubles partner from last week so I have a bit of an idea about her game, but doubles is of course different from singles. I'm not on the schedule for doubles tomorrow since they didn't get any played this afternoon and our opponents still have to play their 1st round. Ok, I better get to sleep soon so I'll have lots of energy for tomorrow. Wish me luck!
