Ashley Reaches Finals In Benicarlo

Hola!

Sorry for not writing until now...I was very busy last night trying to figure out how I'm going to get back to Barcelona, pack, eat, prepare for my match and sleep. That being said I went to bed really late, but I'm used to it now and I feel like a true European haha. Anyways, I won my match again yesterday! I took down the #1 seed 6-3, 6-1. It was a great match. The better she played the better it made me play. The 1st set was tough, but I just focused on playing one point at a time. We had some amazing points as well so it was a fun match to play.

I just arrived at the courts this morning. I play the finals at 11:00 against Maria- Teresa Torroo-Flor from Spain. I'm having my pre-match Cafe con Leche right now...I've become a little superstitious this week. I play in about an hour and I'm about to go warm up on the backboard because there is absolutely no one left here except my opponent. If I knew her at all I would ask her if she wanted to warm up together just for fun before our match, but since I don't that won't be happening. There aren't any junior players here at the club today either...it's ok because I've had to play a few matches here without a warm up at all so I'll be ready. Alright, I better get going. If I have time after my match before my train leaves I will let you guys know how I did. Wish me luck!!

P.S. Best of luck to my friend, Julia Boserup, who is in the finals of Orange Bowl today down in
Key Biscayne, Florida. I think it was an all-American semi-final as well, so no matter what an American will be the Champion. Good luck to both and I'm sure it will be a great match. Go USA!!
