Ashley Enters Her Last Week In Spain

Hola,

I lost track of how many days I've been here a long time ago. However, I do know that I will be home exactly one week from today. I am very excited to get back home but I am also excited for this last tournament. I want to have my best singles performance yet and finish on a good note. I am going to focus on using my strengths, giving 100% and playing in the moment.

It has been raining all day here and I've been at the courts waiting to practice, but it looks like that won't be happening at all today. They played a few of the qualifying matches on 3 of the courts that were playable, but the rain got too heavy and they had to stop because the courts were getting ruined. They will have to finish the remaining qualifying matches tomorrow. So much for being happy about a Tuesday/Wednesday start for an extra day of practice, the rain kind of ruined that one. But I have no problem with having a day off either. The draw just came out and I play a Qualifier/Lucky Loser 1st round in singles, they haven't made a schedule for tomorrow yet so I'll have to wait a little longer to find out when I play. We are the #2 seeds in doubles and got a bye 1st round so we probably won't play until Wednesday or Thursday.

Oh I forgot to tell you guys yesterday that I have a roommate this week. Biljana Pavlova from Bulgaria is staying with me. I've gotten to know her a little bit over the last 2 weeks and she's nice. We both save a little money on hotel for the week which is always good. Alright, I better get going to find out when I play. Adios!
