Alumni Check-in : Chris Dale
Dear ATA brethren,
Hello to you all. I've really enjoyed my time at Amherst so far. The tennis team has a great group of guys, so it has been fun getting to know everyone. The team has a fantastic competitive atmosphere, and we are lucky to have such knowledgeable coach (he was a former professional player). The level of tennis is pretty strong, so I'm going to have to work hard if I want a spot in the starting lineup. The academics have also been challenging, but in a good way. To echo Blake and Claire, college life is a whirlwind, and you definitely need good time management skills. Here is my typical day:
8:00 am-Wake up (probably not a very happy at this point in time)
8:30-9:50-Economics class
10:00-10:50-Spanish class
11:00-11:45-Lunch
12:00-12:50-Study
1:00-1:50-Calculus class
2:30-5:30-Tennis Practice/Fitness
5:45-6:45-Dinner (mmmmm....chicken...)
7:00-8:00-Procrastinate/peruse the ATA website
8:00-1:30am-Study
2:00-8:00am-Sleep
As you can see, I don't have much free time. But don't let that fool you, I'm having a blast. We are one of the best D3 teams in the country, so I hope to be bringing ATA a national championship. Hope to see you guys this winter!
-Chris
